POINT BORNOVA MALL

ARCHITECTURAL TEAM: HOK

LOCATION: İZMİR

PROJECT DATE: 2013

PROJECT TYPE: MALL AND RESIDENTAL

LANDSCAPE AREA: 19.890m2

Point Bonova AVM, the first shopping mall in Europe and the Middle East that can be opened and closed, has been alive in the province of Bornova in Izmir. It is possible to shop around under the trees in areas where the landscape is generously displayed through out the project.

Thanks to the fact that the roof of the shopping mall can be opened, the plant variety can be easily increased by using outdoor plants. The bamboo in the water, the olive trees in the flower pot, the jungle-influenced living areas in the green areas allow the traveler to shop by eating green. The giant palm trees used at the entrance of the shopping mall support the architecture; Terraces in the housing section have been moved to a park terrace with large grass areas and dense vegetation.
